shut off at 75, types of ques..

Published

Like everyone else, after taking NCLEX this afternoon I am convinced I failed. It shut off at 75 and I thought it was so hard. I know that more people pass at 75 than fail, but people do fail at 75. I got a lot of questions that seemed to be priority-like what would require "immediate" follow-up, some ques on prioritizing patients, a lot about evaluating if teaching was effective etc. Is it a good sign to get a lot of questions of these types? The last two questions also didn't seem that difficult to me, either. I'm so nervous that I failed and will jeopardize the job I am supposed to start in July. I'm sitting here ready to cry so if anyone has good feedback let me know!

i wonder if it makes any difference if i took the exam in london. most of my friends who took the exam here though had to wait for 2 weeks. oh no, i'm a nervous wreck now. what do you think suzanne4?

possibly. did you go to nursing school in california? the ca bon doesn't post until it verfied your transcripts. if they "lost" them (misplaced, really), they can take up to 2 weeks to post. also remember that it is a holiday weekend, so i'm not sure if they may be light staffed to process the paperwork. all the results are electronic, so it shouldn't matter where you took the test. it's just whether there is personnel around this week. i know a lot of people took an early weekend.... i wouldn't worry about it, especially since your friends took 2 weeks....

No, I'm actually a foreign graduate nurse :). I've worked here in the UK for several years now but just decided to give it a try in the US.

Do you have a Social Security number yet? If not, your name will not show up on the CA BON until you do. They have more details on the international nurses forum about this.

That's probably why, I don't think I have one yet.
