Hi everyone,
I just took my nclex, the computer stopped at 76, and my hands went cold and felt like puking. I had 11 SATA and 1 med calculation. Me second to last question was a ethical and legal question and my last was something about a diet. I'm still shaking and feel weak. Those questions were hard and I felt like I know only certain things.
Has anyone passed with 76?? Why 76? Ahhhh I'm going crazy. There's no way I passed

Of course people have passed with 76 questions. People pass and fail with every possible amount of questions from the minimum to the maximum.
What you're feeling is normal. MOST people feel they bombed it, couldn't possibly pass, even though the stats would say that's quite wrong. MOST people pass the first time through....and your gut being in a twist is (unfortunately for your gut!) normal.
Hang in there. If your State participates in Quick Results, pay the eight bucks for peace of mind. If not...check the BoN website, and breathe :)

a friend of mine passed her nclex with 75 questions wherein she encountered 15 SATA..
I guess my question is why 76??? Did the computer not decide at 75 if I should fail or pass....
I'm still waiting on my results and the anxiety is killing me í ½í¸¢

Good luck! I have heard of people passing at 76. If your test goes beyond 75, it just means you were still in the game and that the computer was not able to make a decision about your test yet. I had the same anxiety in the 48 hours waiting for quick results. I hope you get to see them soon and are able to relax afterwards.
It is impossible to know if the questions you were given were passing level or not, but I hope for the best for you I was a nervous wreck after my computer stopped at 75 because my questions seemed too straightforward. I had no med calculations on mine either.
Well, I guess the obvious answer is, "No". You must reach a 95% Confidence Interval in order for the test to end; the people whose exam concluded at 75 questions were able to reach a high enough level of questioning and maintain it to reach the 95% CI. I know it's all of one question more, but you didn't do so overwhelmingly well in the minimum number to have satisfied the 95% by that point. Doesn't mean you didn't do VERY well, and reach that 95% CI at the conclusion of #76.
It's really not worth making yourself nuts over how many questions....it's meaningless, really. Do this: consider the kind of student you were in school, the grades you got, how you did on exams. Consider how you prepared for the NCLEX...how you did on the practice components. Consider your school's reputation in the community, and the passing rate for the school. Given all that....is it really more likely you bombed this thing, or aced it?
Breathe :)
