Took NCLEX PN for the first time. Self study with different handouts from 2009 and 2010 lectures and not popular books. I used free NCLEX Apps in my phone and answer some questions in websites that offer free q&a. Joined the facebook group for taking NCLEX/Group Study where in they managed to post tons of q&a plus rationale and posting different lectures in adobe format. Also watch Youtube for NCLEX lectures and topics by USRN lecturers. In other words, I have no budget buying lots of review materials. I just spent 1 hour to 2 hours reviewing and answering then sleep or facing the internet, LAZY indeed. Also busy in part time job and sports most of the time. Its my fault I guess...
Anyway just want to share this, I really don't know what happened to me yesterday. Its a BOMB!!! HONESTLY I found it tricky and hard not because I didn't study so well, but the way the questions are delivered or the wordings NCLEX used.. I'm so tired.... I received 3-4 questions about meds and not familiar in 2 meds given, 1 dosage calculation fill in the blank, 10-15 SATA, 2 graphics, 2 exhibit, 1 drag and drop/order in response, lots of seminar/educational type questions, living will, advance directives, pedia and maternal questions. I also answered 4-5 questions that are purely GUESS coz I really don't know....
My last question I received was SATA and I'm not good in SATA. I hate it :3 I didn't try the PVT coz they said that it changed already or doesn't really work or accurate at all ... Prefer to wait for the result via mail. Good day everyone.
I still don't have the result. I received a letter from NYSED/Board of Nursing dated Oct 29, 2014, 2 days after I took my NCLEX PN exam. The letter was asking for a proof of my Infection Control Training to be submitted via fax or email which I completed last 2012. So after I called the NYSED , I ask my friend to help to do the fax of my certificate and I also sent an email with attachments yesterday. My anxiety is in the highest level everyday! =( Still praying for a good result.
I really want to do avail the quick result Jaelselita but believe it or not I don't have my own credit card. A good friend of mind just lend his credit card when I scheduled my exam 3 months ago. =( So I decided to wait the result via mail. Unfortunately, I can't even make a call or ask the NYSED/BON about my result coz is not allowed and need to wait up to 6 weeks before I can inquire what happened to my result (going 2 weeks this coming Monday Nov.10)
What really puzzles me is that, 2 days after my exam, BON/NYSED ask for my Infection Control Training (requirement in NY State) proof via mail instead of receiving the result. But didn't ask for Child Abuse Reporting Training (another requirement). No other details mentioned in the letter. For what I knew was, before you can sit for the exam, you need to complete these two as part of the requirements /application which I did 2 years ago.

You can buy a prepaid visa or MasterCard. Even for $1 fee at the local dollar store put $8 on it and pay for quick results.
One of my friend lend his credit card and I just found out this afternoon that I passed the NCLEX PN via quick result. THANK GOD!!! He is really amazing. Still waiting for my license to appear in BON Website. Thank you everyone for your advice. Time to prepare for NCLEX RN this December or early next year. =)
