Shout out to my fellow HVCC (Troy) students- ready for orientation?

I know there are a few fellow Hudson Valley Community College students here. I personally can't wait to get more info at orientation tomorrow. I still need to get my ID, my Nursing I manual, and my shoes, but I have everything else.

Anyone know if non-phone/non-picture-taking handhelds are allowed in clinicals? I'm thinking about getting an iPod Touch to put drug guides etc. on, but obviously, I'm not spending money on one only to find out that they aren't allowed. I suppose I could just call Cathy and ask, but hopefully they'll tell us tomorrow.

Sorry- forgot that forum existed. ;~) Thanks for moving!

And thus the death knell for my thread...nobody is going to see it here. :~(

Thanks- I've seen them. I just think the breakdown of classes to regions/states makes it difficult for new users to find the threads- I know there are other HVCC students using AN, but I don't think they are likely to see a thread here simply because it isn't in one of the main forums and you have to go out of your way to find them.

On the other hand, I understand how discussions about specific groups of students would clog up those main forums. I guess we will just have to have our discussions elsewhere once classes start and enjoy the rest of the easy-to-find threads on other subjects here. Thanks for your help!

Once you start meeting others and they are on here get them to use the nursing program discussion forum. There are many many different forums on here and we are trying to make things easier for everyone. once everyone gets used to the new nursing program forum they should get more traffic. NY nursing program discussion forum is one of the busiest ones that I have seen up to now so it may be that many Hudson students haven't found it yet
