Should a take or re-sched? 7 days to go b4 nclex and panic mode

Published

Hi everyone! Need your advice whether to take nclex or re schedule? I'm such in a panic mode right now..can't sleep well for the much dreaded nclex exam and having headaches..:sniff: i'm scheduled this June 20th

my scores from the kaplan q trainer 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 are : 69%,68%,60%,63%66%,64% and 71%. Saunders scores 63-80% per content and in client needs 83%-88%.

Actually the SATA worries me a lot because i'm not that good..and also pharm..my weakest subject...i had 55-66% (yikes) on it.

Akkk i dunno if i'll make it through this exam..any advice from the experts? Thanks :heartbeat

Take it!! Dont reschedule. Your Kaplan scores are much like mine were and I too hated the SATA. I took my test Wednesday after thoughts of rescheduling and it shut off at 75. I was scared to death. I just knew I failed. Many SATA, priority and infection control with little pharm. Unofficial results came today and I PASSED!! From my experience you wont feel ready and you will doubt yourself afterwards but end up fine

I say go for it. Try not to drive yourself crazy. Your scores sound like they are pretty average. IMO you are ready.

Think am going to chicken out and re-sched my exam next month...tried to pick up the phone to call pearson but i can seem to do it. Tried to pick up the phone again...cant do it...waahhhh im confused! 3 more days to go!!!

hey thanks for the advice...

when i got my q trainer results..i felt soooo bad because i only got ONE 71% percent and the rest is below that score. My friend said "that's too bad you only got one 70%" and even felt down when I've read the kaplan book to aim for above 70%...(in all q trainers?). That's why i was thinking of re-scheduling....and prolong the torture hehehe :D

is it true that one can get 30 SATA's? I hope i wont get that much...

yes i would say it is true you can get 30 SATA's. I just took mine today and had probably 25-30 maybe more SATAs and finished in 75 questions. I didn't keep track but it seemed like every third question I would get a SATA. One time I got 4 SATA in a row but that helped me feel a little better since they are supposed to be harder. Who knows. I am still waiting for my results. Good luck! I don't think one can ever feel prepared for this test. I've studied my butt off since graduation in May and still didn't feel ready but I took the plunge.
