You're gonna have to take biology for health professions anyways so the point is moot. Biology is a prerequisite for microbiology and A&P.
Actually it is a pre req for microbio but it states "prereq: bio or physiology" and it's not a prereq for physio or anatomy, I'm just wondering if it is truly necessary
hi ,, it all depends on the schools requirements. In my school it is not a prereq.... however during my time in a7p1&2 I often hoped I had taken it so that I didn't feel so lost when we talked about the "basic"/building blocks of these classes. check with what your required to do all schools are different.
I may not be the norm, however I have made it through both anatomy and physiology without the basic bio course. I received an A in both classes, however it was hard work. There have been times that I wished I had started from the ground level. At this point, the requirement for the basic bio has been removed and I wonder if I should take it anyway. I think it all depends on the school, but for me, I managed without it!
I received a B in Biology 10 years ago. At my school college bio is not a prerequisite for A&P and you need either bio or A&P as a prerequisite for Micro. I chose not to take it. But I also really like science and have a bit of a knack for it. Got an A in A&P 1 . plan to take A&P 2 with micro next semester.

I took biology in high school passed with a B second semester but because of extra credit and stuff so I'm not sure I fully grasped it. Like I can remember cell division, DNA and RNA, prokaryotes, but I don't remember it in specific. Should I take General Biology in college to brush up as I know for nursing you need Microbio and Physiology or should I not?
