Should I drop Microbiology?

Published

Now, I have had an A in all my other prereqs except for the two science courses I am currently taking (A&P2 and Micro). I have a B in A&P2 and C in Micro. Every day, I wonder if I should just drop Micro, it has gotten to the point where I need to decide this week and take a W. I have been flip-flopping for the past month especially since I have other outside obligations. I really want to apply for Fall 2022, since I live in California, all the universities are very competitive. If I do drop, then the only options I have are private universities. I genuinely feel lost and I love these subjects, but time is not on my side.

My overall goal is to become an NP in gerontology. What should I do?

Are you at a low C or a High C? What is your lab grade too? But the thing my micro professor last semester had told me is that if you take AP and Micro together you will spend more time studying for AP , which is true in experience. I'm prenursing and taking this class without another science and it's easy by itself.

The thing is too are these obligations mandatory/important? If so I would drop and focus on AP2 and then take Micro by itself. But if you are at an High C I would pull through personally. If you ever need quizlets to study for your micro course I can DM you.

yeah, I agree with the person above! it depends if you think you can make it to a B by the end of the semester! if not, I'd consider dropping and getting that A next semester. good luck<3
