Should I call the mgr?

Published

Quick question: I got a call from a nurse recruiter about a position in CVICU that sounds like it could be the perfect job for me. I was really excited when I heard about it, but I haven't heard back from the mgr. in almost 2 weeks.

Do you think it would be inappropriate to call the mgr directly and ask if the position is still available?

Thanks,

JP

Iwould call. Couldn't hurt

Call the recruiter 1st though, if a recruiter from an outside agency is involved and they contact you directly and then you go behind their back and contact the job, and then the job hires you, the agency will still expect to be paid because had it have not been for their phone call you would not know about the job. Worse case scenerio it could turn into a battle between the agency and the unit over fees and you will be the loser in the deal.

Now if the recruiter was an inhouse recruiter you could call the hiring mgr.

Call the recruiter. She is supposed to be handling everything for you.

You can call the recruiter, like the others said, they handle all of that for you. Good Luck! I hope you get the postion!! :) Ivanna
