Well I am now CPNE eligible passed Transition to the Professional Registered nurse role this afternoon with a "B". :bluecry1:Unfortunately with all this stuff going on with our lovely BON it seems it may be all for naught. I guess for now I'm going to hold of on applying and see where things go. I'm already enrolled in several online classes for fall at a local college (core I need for my BSN) guess I'll wait to the end of the semester and re-evaluate my situation:banghead:.
IF we have to move we are definitely considering SC. We live in southwest GA right now so it would still be about a 6-7 hr drive depending on the area but it at least would be managable and we could still see our families more frequently than living thousands of miles away! Let me know how Greenville is !!
Please go to this link and join me if you are a graduate of EC, like myself, or a student and want to try to fight this decision by the GBON.

This group will be dedicated entirely to exploring the proper channels to make our voices heard regarding this decision not to endorse future graduates of EC. I konw we can make a difference in this. Let's try!

GaNurse, is South Carolina an option for you. My husband and I are driving to Greenville Friday to check out the city. He has relatives that live there and say the opportunities abound. In addition they too, like Texas are a compact state. I too don't like the idea of moving away from my family; I was born in GA and have lived here all my life. But I don't plan on staying here if I am forced to continue to work as a LPN. I am lucky in that my husband teaches math and can also easily find work. I like to Idea of SC because it is only a few hours drive from my mom. I cant' go too far; she depends on me too much and I want to be able to see her at least once a month. SC doesn't have any problems with Excelsior.
