Hello everyone!
I am currently looking into applying for Shoreline's nursing program and was just curious about the points system. For anyone that has been recently accepted into Shoreline's program, what was the total number of your entrance points? As it stands, I currently only have 89 points out of 115 because I am not a CNA and do not have enough volunteer hours to get more points on the system.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks! :)
Have you tried Bellevue community college? Some one got in for this fall quarter with a 3.0 and a high tease score. I would try but I would have to take a logic class and I don't want to. I made the waitlist for North Seattle and will try again in the winter.
Bellevue College makes its selection based on the TEAS; if TEAS scores are tied, only then do GPAs comes in. It might be easier, faster and less expensive to study for the TEAS and apply to Bellevue than to retake classes!
Wishing you well whatever you do.
Congrats! Did you have mainly 4.0 gpa? Any tips? Thanks
Hi Lenkis! Thanks! Yeah, mainly 4.0 gpa. I volunteered, and work as a CNA as well. I renewed all the certifications needed to get every possible points. It's really helpful to prepare all the requirements before the application opens so you have a lot of time to do whatever to make your points higher like do more volunteer hours, renew certificates, work on your educational bonus paragraph, etc.. When are you planning to apply? Good luck!
Thanks! Yes, I did the educational bonus and they gave me the maximum points! Did you apply for winter 2015 too?
Hi! Yes I did apply for Winter 2015 and I was very optimistic. I don't know what happened with my bonus points =/ I did Medical Terminology and Human Healh&Sexuality but they gave me no points for that, so I lost 4 points.
