I thought I would start a thread for all of us Shoreline Community College Part-time applicants for Fall 2018.
I'm currently on the waitlist for the Spring 2018 full-time program, but if I don't get in then I plan on applying to the part time for fall. I'm sitting at 104.85 points and it seems like the part-time program usually has a lower minimum point requirement so I'm hoping that's enough to get in!
If anyone has any questions about the application, feel free to ask me. This will be my third time applying to Shoreline so I feel like a pro at this point :)
Sorry about that, salsera sirena /: I guess that means I shouldn't be expecting to get in, since I'm sitting at 105.65. So close!!! "All applicants were considered together" means those are the minimum points for full time and part time right?
They canceled the part-time program for next year, so yes that is the minimum score for the full-time program. They took the applications for both programs accepted the highest scores from both pools.
I did make the alternate list, just don't know how far on the list I am. My letter didn't come today so.. tomorrow. And they will accept you if you appeal and should have had the points. That happened to me last time they made a mistake, I still didn't get in but the gal said on the phone the alternate list will change depending on the appeals too so Good luck!
I don't think so katmeeps, it didn't say in the letter and when I called about it they told me it depends on a few factors, I am assuming they hold a few places just in case they made a mistake on points so if people who should have gotten more points and into the program maybe they hold a few spots for them. She did tell me that guaranteed every time 2 or 3 make it in off the alternate list. sometimes more. so good luck to us!! I am hoping they will start calling people off the alternate list next week.
Ended up getting my Letter on Saturday. I finally made it into a nursing program!!! Just wanted to let you all know, who didnt get in this time, PLEASE do not give up!! ive been trying for 8 years!!! no help financially, having to work Full time, 4 jobs... its all in God's timing. YOU WILL GET THERE!! i re did pretty much all of my classes for higher grades thats what got me in this time around at 106.65 points!!! CONGRATS TO US!! whoever made it see you at orientation!
