Hey guys!
I thought I would start a thread for all of us Shoreline Community College Part-time applicants for Fall 2018.
I'm currently on the waitlist for the Spring 2018 full-time program, but if I don't get in then I plan on applying to the part time for fall. I'm sitting at 104.85 points and it seems like the part-time program usually has a lower minimum point requirement so I'm hoping that's enough to get in!
If anyone has any questions about the application, feel free to ask me. This will be my third time applying to Shoreline so I feel like a pro at this point :)
Hey everyone! So I called the operator at Shoreline today and she was told by Sharon that they're running really late this quarter with letters and we won't be receiving them until the end of this week. I'm bummed about having to wait another week but at least we know not to expect them today or tomorrow...
Thank you for sharing that info!! I am glad to know not to be on the edge of my seat. we will probably get them Friday.. hopefully Thursday. So ready for the wait to be over. I hope we all make it!! My coworker who graduated from Shoreline said size of the envelope matters so if it is small its a rejection and if it is a larger envelope it is an acceptance.
That is great to know, khinze! I was wondering if the size of the envelope matters so that answers my question. I was gonna bring something else to your guys's attention - there's this thing you can sign up for called Informed Delivery on USPS.com, where you actually get notified in the morning what mail you're gonna be receiving that day, so if you're like me (impatient, cough cough) and head to work around the time your mail arrives, at least you know what to expect. It's a free service and all you have to do is verify that you're the person actually living at the address your mail is coming to. Good luck everyone!
So... "due to unexpected faculty retirements and turnover, we regret to inform you that the Nursing Program has decided to postpone enrollment into the 10 quarter Program Option for the academic year 2018-2019... All applicants were considered together and minimum points for those students who were accepted for admission were 106.15."
I currently have 104.8, which is my score from last time. I think they did not count my CNA hours which would make my score 106.8, so I will be appealing and seeing if I can still get in.
Good luck everyone, and sorry for those disappointed about the part time program.
