Shoes for wide, flat feet with high instep

Published

Hi, I'm looking for a pair of very supportive nursing shoes that can be worn in a pediatric doctors office. Dansko's are not comfortable and can't seem to find any sneakers that are professional and supportive at the same time. Willing to spend $$$ if it is worth it

One caveat! I need BLACK only

Skechers makes a very good work shoe that comes in white and black. I also like Merrell work shoe. New Balance trainers are very good too.

Thanks for all the suggestions on different shoes to buy. Besides The Walking Company, where else is there to try on these types of shoes?

I see you're on the other side of the country from me, but I know that here, DSW carries Ariat and several of the other clog style brands; I've seen Sanitas there as well. If you have a western wear type store in your area, like Sheplers, or an outdoor store like Cabelas, they often carry the riding boot style Ariats as well as the professional, dress, and clog styles. Good luck! I hope you find something that works for you. :)
