Has anyone ever used this? I am not in her area, but the website looked helpful! I guess you can get videos of the workshop/how to write CP and how to prepare for the exam. I know I am a ways away from this, but time flies, and I am a planner. Your thoughts are welcomed!!! Also any other workshop video suggestions are welcome too--it's never too early to prepare for this exam, I would like to practice and prepare as much as I can instead of weeks before the exam!

YES!!
If you have any chance to attend her workshop, then by all means do. I attended this past weekend, and I feel that is worth every cent that I paid for it. Considering that failing the CPNE will cost 2000 dollars.
There is a lot of useful information pass out over the weekend, not only critical elements, but also tips and tricks a person will need to get through the test.
She has hands on practice labs, care plans and grids, all designed to make the CPNE weekend less stressful.
Then there is the post workshop support, we were given a couple lists of CPNE type patients to make care plans for. You write your care plan and with in 24 hours you'll get a corrected copy back. Then there is the CPNE weekend, if you test in Atlanta, you can go to the workshop the day before and practice lab skills, get answers and emotional support. Then if you fail a lab the first day, you can go back and practice that station(s)
I have seen other posts that Sheri is not a EC grad, but then again the nurses testing us at the CPNE are not either.
Now please don't get me wrong, I have not attended any other workshops, but I did attend Sheri's and was very impressed with the amount of useful and support offered.
Good Luck to you

I would focus on one test at a time.. Don't get ahead of yourself!!! If you're trying to plan for finances, I would plan for a minimum of an extra $1000 to prepare for the CPNE. You will be dropping money on supplies and resources like crazy! Even if what you purchased is used, it adds up fast! But for now, I wouldn't bog yourself down with CPNE stress.

I would recommend west coast Tina's workshop in San Jose CA. The person running this workshop is herself, a graduate of EC, who took the CPNE. People who have taken workshops elsewhere stated that they wished they had chosen her workshop to begin with. While you can start saving up your money for a workshop now, you really should be concentrating on getting your tests done first as the others have said. http://www.cheducation.com

Actually, I disagree. It's possible/probable that by the time you are ready to really prepare for the CPNE, the new edition of the study guide will be out (they come out each July), so you don't want to waste your time studying materials that is out of date. And in my opinion (and experience), it's best to focus on the nursing exams and FCCA for now, and then study for the CPNE when you can give it 110% of your focus.

Hmmm... so I only attended one workshop, and that was Sherri's, so I can't say anything about the others. But I will say that I started excelsior right after LPN school and after completing my nursing exams in a few short months, i was ready to prepare for and take my cpne. The only nursing experience I had outside of lpn school was psych nursing where basically i was dealing with kids with behavior issues, not anything that would help me to prepare for my cpne. Anyway... I was freaking out about my CPNE. I live in Florida and Sherri was coming to orlando, and i signed up for one of her workshops because it was close to me and cheaper than the excelsior one. I'm so glad i did it! Who cares if she was not an excelsior student? I'm sure hardly any of the clinical examiners were excelsior grads... if any at all. And if they're qualified to decide whether we pass or fail our cpne... why can't she be qualified to teach us??? She has many years of experience and she knows everything there is to know about the cpne. Every thing she told me was completely correct and very valuable!!! And she is a very genuine woman... willing to help you out after the workshop... by grading care plans, answering questions, etc.
Anyway... enough of my rambling... with no acute nursing experience, one of Sherri's workshops, and about a month of intense studying and practicing, I passed all of my labs and PCS's on the first try, no repeats of anything. I'm sure Tina and Lynn are great too... but when it comes to Sherri, I gotta give credit where credit is due!!!
