I am now working in the OBGYN field as an OBGYN Assistant. Maybe I have lived a sheltered life but I am shocked at the number of women who wax and shave off all their pubic hair. This trend has gone mad. It is just not the young under 25 crowd it is the 30 and over females. It is sort of disturbing. Has anyone else noticed this trend ????

I work in L&D and I find it more amazing how many women don't do any kind of maintenance "down there". Some look like they have a forest gone mad. I'm not saying you have to shave, but atleast make sure the hair is where is should be and not halfway to your knees. GRRRRROOOOSSSS!!!
Hahaha .. just noticed that all the sponsor links on this page are about hair removal. Anyone else see that?? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Yes... I see that side of it also, but to see a 30 something mature women as clean as the day she was born ???????

I work L & D, and have noticed the same thing. Mostly the younger crowd, but clean as a whistle, for sure.

Sorry, but the idea of shaving pubic hair COMPLETELY off is essentially saying "I'm a child..." Pretty sick when you think about it...

doodz-some women leave some bits of hair behind -they actually have names for the different "pube 'do's"........Men are doing it also-it is getting to be popular for studs to be clean as a whistle from front to back down there.......I hear commercials on a local radio station for a salon in this area that specializes in removal of "down there hair" for men and women.......I learn something new everyday...... :rotfl: "down there hair" :rotfl: I just can NOT FATHOM waxing that area.......argh
I never really thought of it in that manner-it is done for many reasons-....I don't want to get kicked off the board here so I have to watch what I say----ummm---oral favors are much nicer when not impeded by bushy pube 'do's.....It's really become the 'style" with the generation that revels in their sexuality and explores it to the fullest without shame.....That beats the hang-ups some of the older generations have.....
I am not criticizing the practice. To each his/her own, but for someone who was out of the nursing field for 10 yeras and to return and see so many women doing this it was sort of a shock. Are you not suprised by the number of women who choose this shave it all practice ??
heh-I still get a little freaked out over certain body piercings-especially when they are on someone that doesn't fit the stereotype in my mind...I'll NEVER forget the first young hot guy I had in med-surg that had both nipples pierced...I could not walk in the room without getting all hot and bothered and nervous....Now it'll all old-hat........I guess after YOU have seen a few dozen "shorn lillies" :) they will start to look like the norm.....

Ahem...I am one of those "over 30" who is apparently too old to be remotely sexual in some people's mind. There are benefits to having it shaved, yes there are.
