U.S.A. California

Hello! It's that exciting time again!

:)

I'm starting this thread to support, advise, and inform each other about this residency program. If you don't mind, share a little bit about yourselves.

Graduation date: Degree type: healthcare experience: Any special skills or certificates:

Thanks!

I graduated back in December 2012. I have a couple of months of experience as a RN and a year experience as a CNA. I graduated with a ASN and am currently working on my BSN. This will be my 4rth time applying to Sharps NNRP!!! I have the basic certifications (BLS and ACLS) I applied to Grossmont's PCU and telemetry/MS.

Make sure you list your clinical rotations there. They want to see where have you been and for how many hours.

By there I meant your résumé. Sorry!

Okay I actually was wondering about that! I have heard mixed feelings about listing your clinical experience on my resume

I talked with the recruiter from Sharp and she requested. I think it says on their job application too.

She requested what, specifically?

Sorry. When I met the recruiter last year for an informational interview she told me and gave me a handout that says, under application requirements: "Current resume, including clinical placement as well as work/volunteer information".

Oh thank you! Did you meet with a recruiter this year? Did they give you any good info or handouts? I would have went to a meeting but I live in Ohio.

I met her last year before their fall application. The handout she gave me had the same information that they had online. You can also find some information under FAQ in their new grad page.

Hi! Does anyone know if the Sharp application asks for us to list our references? Thank you!

It does. You have to create a profile which asks you for all of your information (references, work history, education history, certifications). You can actually create your profile now, attaching your cover letter and resume. So when they post the job you just submit your profile and answer the supplemental questions.

I am having a hard time with Sharp supplemental questions. I think my answers are too long. For those of you that landed an interview how big was your answers?

I also was wondering about the length of each question... Also I am trying to create a profile but it looks as if I have to apply for a job first before making one. Does anyone know if that is correct?
