Sharp San Diego New Grad Residency Spring 2025

Just wanted to start a thread as this residency opened today for externals. Internals was on 11/12.

Yea this gives me hope. You would think they would just deactivate the applications that are external if that was the case...

I am also internal and my manager told me this too. It is because of budgeting at Grossmont. I tried to get my friend an interview but she said they are only looking at intervals.

Is it only Grossmont though? Because they did mention that during the webinar but not that it was all locations? Just confused by this all tbh

I only know about Grossmont sorry. I can ask though.

I feel like they are just going internally because it shouldn't take this long LOL. I have not heard a single thing from memorial and it's been almost a month now... Just the name of my application changed like 2 weeks ago... crazy

Thanks for sharing. Yes, in the info session they clearly specified that Grossmost is hiring internally. However, the other locations are open to externals! They sent a PDF summarizing the info session. This is straight from that source:

"Sharp HealthCare Hospitals – Who is Hiring for Spring 2025?
The following hospitals will be accepting new grads in Spring 2025
• Sharp Memorial Hospital
• Sharp Mesa Vista
• Sharp Grossmont Hospital (internal hire priority)
• Sharp Coronado"

Hi. I work at Sharp Chula, but put Memorial as my first choice for this cohort. My application name did change specifically to Memorial, cohort #, and unit but I haven't received any communication about possible interview. Sharp is notorious for being late so don't lose hope yet!
