Just wanted to start a thread as this residency opened today for externals. Internals was on 11/12.
Good luck everyone!

Yes, go to job search then type nurse residency, it should come up. There is one posting and you can choose one unit and an alternate.

I was not able to go onto the virtual forum this time around. We are supposed to combine the resume and cover letter, correct? Also, did they go into detail of what the Women's observation unit is at Sharp Grossmont?

I didn't get a chance to go either, I did email them but when you look at the job posting it kind of goes into what each unit does.

Does anyone know when we should start hearing back about our applications? I applied to ED & women's observation units.

The application period closes tomorrow, so I think we will have to wait until then at the SOONEST. From past cohort threads I have read, it looks like it could take about a month for them to start reaching out. Some people report that their application becomes more specific to the unit they applied to, so instead of new grad residency, it would change to Sharp Memorial ER, Night shift, Full time....
This is just what I have seen, my application just still says under review.
I applied at Memorial ER as well as Memorial Trauma/Neuro
