Sharp San Diego New Grad Residency Spring 2025

Just wanted to start a thread as this residency opened today for externals. Internals was on 11/12.

Mine has as well for the ER at memorial. Cohort 48.

does it actually say referred to hiring? or has the unit just changed?

 

does anyone know how many positions are opening? I didn't see on the list, and I didn't make it to the webinar.

So, if mine still says "under consideration" with no unit listed, does that mean I'm probably just denied? Not sure how it worked in the past

No, my classmate just reminded me, all units work at different paces. Their email specifically says don't freak out if yours doesn't change and someone else does. What units did you pick?

Oncology was my first and then med/surg units for my other two

Yea they probably just haven't gotten to those units yet! I'm sure you're fine it's still very early for things to be changing.

They are. The apps are reviewed and screened then moved to the unit/manager for review

Do you already work in the ED?

I do not, I was an EMT for 3 years then a CNA in a hospital for 2 years. I am getting my TNCC right now and working on my CEN to hopefully have by March. My preceptorship in Vegas was 144 hours in the ER, I am just praying I get in to an ER but I will take any unit. '

 

So instead of the application title it shows the unit and cohort/full-time then where it used to say under consideration, yours says referred to hiring manager?
