Congrats! Would you mind sharing your stats? Are you internal or external?

Thank you! I'm external, only had 90 hours of clinicals at Sharp. I have my BSN and RN license and also have certs for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.

@NewGradNguyen where did you take the ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS? I need to take those.

Ah I see, did you do any work, externships or internships? I haven't heard anything back from Sharp Memorial PCUs yet

Does anyone know how many people they contact for an interview and the amount of offers they give out?

Where did you guyz take the ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS?

NIHSS is online and free.  Gotta find local areas that have in class to get your ACLS, PALS, and NRP done. Check AHA website. At my university a clinical professor taught it as a side gig business.

Specializes in Psychiatric.

I did my ACLS HeartCode through SureFire. It's a little on the expensive side, but I had my externship pay for it. Good thing about SureFire is that they have multiple sites open 24 hours across San Diego to do the skills portion, and that takes like 15 minutes tops. I will do my PALS through them as well. I think the NIHSS is like $10 online, but I'm not sure.

I got an email reaching out for an interview at the Sharp Memorial ICU. When do they typically respond with giving you a time/ confirmation of the meeting?

No prior healthcare work experience. I did have an externship in the cardiovascular ICU, but that wasn't with Sharp.

I did all of them through AHA if I remember correctly. ACLS/PALS were in the pricier side and required an online portion + an in person portion. NIHSS was $10 and was purely online.

Alsooo, the email just gave me a date to confirm. I'm kinda confused bc I didn't receive a call to talk about my availability for an interview. I'm paranoid that they meant to email someone else.

Hello! Congrats on getting an interview! Did you get an interview for their Medical ICU or their Surgical ICU? Also, would it be OK if you could share when your interview is?
