Sharp New Grad Residency Winter 2021

Published

Hello! I just wanted to create this post for anyone that applied to the Sharp New Grad Residency for the Winter 2021 Cohort (Mary Birch & Sharp Chula)!

Specializes in RN.

Hello! I received this email as well, "Application forwarded to HR.." My preferred choice was the med/surg/tele unit!

I've heard a few people say they've been getting rejection emails, but apparently there were over 700 applicants so it might take a while to hear back still.  I would assume NICU and L&D will be first to hear back because of the earlier anticipated start date but I'm not sure exactly when that would be.  Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the update!

I got a call today to set up an interview for Sharp Grossmont 4E extender position starting in September. I am an internal applicant.

Did you respond to the email they sent for this position a few days ago?

I didn’t respond to the email but I did apply to the position on the Sharp careers website! The job posting number is 111789. Hope that helped!

Do you know if this is a temporary position for the surge? Or is it a regular new grad position?

Well the new grad program is at chula vista or mary birch and the extender program is at grossmont

They opened up 2 more applications for internal candidates. One at Memorial titled as New Grad Residency Program and one for Grossmont, but that one is titled New Grad- RN Extender. So I wasn't sure if it is actually part of the new grad program or not.

has anyone done an interview for the extender program? can you tell me how was it and was there only one person or more interviewing you?

I just got an email to self-identify but I can't figure out the link! It says it's outdated. Anyone know how to bypass this?

How’s the NICU crew holding up? ? still waiting to hear back for it.

Does anyone have any insight on the internal new grad positions at Memorial and Grossmont? Like is it a temporary RN extender role or is it a normal new grad program?
