Hello! I just wanted to create this post for anyone that applied to the Sharp New Grad Residency for the Winter 2021 Cohort (Mary Birch & Sharp Chula)!

Hi there,

Did anyone get an email reading "Update Sharp nurse residency program application" that confirms that they received your application and sent it to recruitment/management? It's from the talent acquisition specialist.  I didn't get this last time (that I can remember).

Yes!  I did not get this last time.  Hopefully it's a good sign that we're still in the running.  Which units did you apply to?

That's hopeful! I applied to NICU as my first choice and then the Chula Vista tele/med surg rotations as the second choice ?

Also, does anyone remember if the UCSD maternal nursing newborn care course was required to apply to NICU? I can't remember if it was required or preferred.
