Hi all! I am starting this thread for those who have applied/are going to apply for the Sharp New Grad RN residency for Winter 2022-2023!

Hey CaliforniaNurse1! I also got that email. I had an externship with Sharp Chula Vista over the Summer and had discussed this course with my preceptor (CNS researcher/educator not L&D). The UCSD course fills up very quickly, but I will share the link for the AWHONN course. This is the course her friend/coworker, an OB CNS at Sharp Chula Vista, showed me. Hey guys, I also applied to L&D at Sharp Mary Birch and never got the e-mail but I listed on my application and in my resume that I have already taken the course.  Did you both put down that you have taken the course? Do they send this e-mail to everyone? I double checked that the e-mail on my application is correct and it is, I'm just worried that I'm missing e-mails from them or something. It sounds like they sent this to everyone who is under consideration but I never got it.

It sounds like the email was sent to people that haven’t taken the course? I took it and didn’t receive anything!

my page only has the "new grad" application. I thought we applied all in one. I don't have several different applications. I feel lost now.

I still only have the one application as well. I'm guessing it's only the hospitals with November start dates that have started looking at applicants. I chose Grossmont, which has a January start date, so it will probably still be a while for that.

I also think that it might be a bit different if you applied internally vs externally?

When I applied in the past I did not find out that I was not chosen until like 6 months later when my portal finally updated...

oh wow, thank you. I am just getting worried now because It is about 6 weeks and that is when they said they would be contacting people.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I haven't heard of anyone hearing back about anything, however, which is a good sign as well!

I had a similar update on my application. For Sharp Chula Vista, does yours say "Fall Cohort"? Mine does. No unit, shift specified.
