SFSU ELM-A Spring 2016

Hello everyone!

I am new to this site and this is my first ever post! Woo hoo!

I am currently in the process of applying to SFSU's Accelerated Entry Level Masters program for Spring 2016. Is there anyone else out there applying? This is such an exciting and stressful time!

Would you mind sharing what kind of questions they asked? Did they ask questions in regards to which specialty you chose? If so, do you mind if i ask what specialty you applied with? I applied for peds and have my interview on wednesday and would appreciate it tremendously if you shared your interview experience :)

Sorry, they made it very clear that we were not allowed to share information about the interview. But Im sure you will do great! Good luck!

Hello, everyone:

Is anyone else applying to both this program and the MEPN program at UCSF? The tricky thing is, we will hear back from SFSU and have to make a final decision about this program before we receive initial deny or interview invitation emails from UCSF.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Just FYI, I received an email today saying that final decisions are expected to be made by late next week, which is a week earlier than they had originally planned. Only one week to go until we find out! They also said new student orientation will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 7.

I heard this afternoon around 3:15 that I got in! I am actually going to another school though so hopefully that will open up a spot for someone else :)

Congrats to everyone who got in! I also heard by email yesterday afternoon (3:14pm PST) that I got in. There's an informal acceptance form to fill out online, then a formal invite from SFSU will arrive in about a week. Orientation is still scheduled for Dec. 7, 2015, from 9am to 2pm.

Just curious as to why you decided to decline. Looking at the program it seems very affordable compared to other MSN programs in the area.
