Hi Everyone,
I posted this as a reply but then thought it was worth a separate thread. I've been accepted for fall 2010 to this program (I am pretty sure I have), but haven't received the acceptance package or other formal info about what the next steps are. Has any one else received theirs? Are there deadlines coming soon?
Thanks!
For those of you who are wondering - I got an email back from the coordinator the other day - she says that the Canada program costs $300 a unit and that there are 59 units in the major. This does not cover the cost for labs, textbooks and/or other miscellaneous nursing supplies. And that yes, orientation information will be mailed out in mid June or so. :)
Hi lee...there were a few more of us here that were waitlisted on the other forum, I think it was SFSU BSN Program. I am hoping sooner rather than later as well though! :I I really need to know ASAP since I am applying through a military-funded program that has deadlines that are before the August class start date! I emailed SFSU to see how many people have declined their seats yet but their coordinator is out of the office for a bit....I will let you know when I hear how many have declined, if they tell me. Good luck to us both! :) And congrats to everyone who has actually gotten in thus far!
Hey guys, I'm on the waiting list too for sequoia. I got straight up denied to CSUEB, n the only other school I applied to was Cabrillo ASN in Santa Cruz, which has a 2-3 year waitinglist, but ur guaranteed to get in (of course its been 4 months and I still havn't got a confirmation despite bugging them multiple times). Anyway I just wanted to let u other guys on the waitlist know that I think there are about 25 (possibly more) of us on the sequoia waitlist (at least that was my assumption from the phone call I had with someone from Sequoia). N I really wish they would just tell us if we stand a chance or not, but unfortunately we will be living in a state of limbo until August sometime It kinda makes it hard to go about ur life knowing that there is a 50/50 chance u could b starting an Accelerated BSN program at the drop of a hat. O well, best luck to all of us, n congrats to the lucky b-sterds that got in
hopefully some of us will b joinin u!
Hi Lee J...funny that you should post that, I emailed someone there about 2 hours ago and they told me that all 40 slots have been filled and it is not looking likely that the waitlisted people will get in...these are her words exactly: "At this time, all 40 spaces have been filled for the Fall 2010. It does not look likely that any other spaces will be opening up. Thank you for your interest in the Sequoia/SFSU BSN program at Cañada. Well-qualified applicants are encouraged to re-apply for next year."
Oh well...hopefully you applied to some other schools as well...I applied to University of South Florida and they ONLY go off of GPA, which makes chances of getting in better. Plus their NCLEX pass rate has been 100% the past 2 semesters. :)
Good luck to you and again, congrats to all that got in! :)
