I thought I would make a thread for those of us who will be applying to the SFSU/Canada College BSN program, fall 2009 cohort. Maybe we could share our stats, frustrations, thoughts about the nursing profession, etc.
As for me, I have two prerequisites left to complete. I am taking one right now, and I will take the last one during spring 2009. I anticipate that I will have about a 3.7 GPA in the prerequisite courses.
I have also met two of the supplementary criteria. With as competitive as it is, I know that it's pretty much a coin toss as to whether I get in or not. I'm just hoping for a little luck.
I've been accepted for fall 2010 to this program (I am pretty sure I have), but haven't received the acceptance package or other formal info about what the next steps are. Has any one else received theirs? Are there deadlines coming soon?
How were you informed that you are accepted into the SFSU-Canada nursing program? Did you receive an email from Canada directly? I am still waiting for the official letter of acceptance or rej. to the nursing program. Have you spoken to anyone who is currently attending the program at Canada?
I wonder if I should go straight to the office to ask the director at the College or I should wait. I dont feel like waiting anymore. I will go on Monday morning and who want to go with me? anyone?
