Hi! I'm applying for the SFSU BSN program in spring 2018. I haven't seen a thread for this so I was wondering if anyone here was applying to the program as well. If you could give a bio of yourself or your stats that would be helpful! Nice to meet you all!
No problem!
Here are my stats for reference:
- Transfer student from SJSU
- 3.73 gpa
- 84% TEAS (low, I'm going to take it again for next application cycle)
- Trilingual (Cantonese, Mandarin, English)
- 2 1/2 yrs as an In Home Care Provider
- Shadow/Volunteer experience at hospitals, pharmacies, and dental offices
- Multicultural experience through volunteering at a Senior Center for 5ish years
- Currently working at a rehab center leading activities for patients
,and also collaborating with nurses, pt's, cna's ect to keep track of patients health
u paid the $100 fee to be admitted into sfsu and your chosen major "spring 2018 Nursing (non Rn) Program" which is pre-nursing. when u pay it it doesnt show the alternate major but your 1st choice major so thats why it didnt show ur alternate. u havent been admitted to the nursing program yet, u have to wait for the letter. right now ur admitted to pre-nursing but hang tight, we'll get notifid soon
Are you sure? I just spoke to someone at SFSU, and they said if I had that as my major it means I have been selected but just have to wait for acceptance letter which should come in a few days. Im really confused... I keep hearing different answers. Some people say when they check their student portal all that shoes up is there alternate major?

I am not sure they even updated the Student Portal yet. I got the acceptance letter but my Student Portal remains the same.
I am waiting for the acceptance letter from the Grad school admissions dept. now. The letter from Sch of Nursing said it will come in a week.
