SFSU BSN spring 2018

Published

Hi! I'm applying for the SFSU BSN program in spring 2018. I haven't seen a thread for this so I was wondering if anyone here was applying to the program as well. If you could give a bio of yourself or your stats that would be helpful! Nice to meet you all!

I'm a transfer coming from CC and I'm trying my hand at SFSU but I know it's super competitive. I'm just trying to keep my head up until they let us know who got in ^^

TEAS: 88.7%

pre req gpa: 4.0 with some volunteer experience in a vietnamese church

Hey Peachtea, I'm applying to SFSU this spring as well. Nice work on the GPA, much stronger than mine. I think my prerequisite GPA is around 3.7, 90 on the TEAS, 5 years as a Paramedic, military veteran. I can't find anything on how they award points to applications, do you know anything? I'm worried about NursingCas getting my transcripts processed in time. I ordered them back on 8/25 and just got an email two days ago saying they just received them, even though the transcript service said they were delivered on 8/28. Good luck to you, hope to see you on campus.

Your healthcare experience is really good! I think with that experience it more than makes up for the gpa. And your gpa is already strong too (: As for points I'm not sure about that. I felt like it was a case by case basis because if they had a points system maybe they would share it with us, but I'm not too sure.

Hey guys! I'm happy to see someone started a thread for this! I'm applying for the Spring semester as well. Thinking positive thoughts!! I am applying as a second baccalaureate student (my first BS was in Bio). 4.0 prereq GPA. 92% on TEAS. I'm working as a vet tech (I really hope they count that as "healthcare" experience- it's similar stuff just with dogs and cats í ½í¸ƒ) and I have around 75 hours as a volunteer in a hospital. So I'm kind of lacking compared to a lot of applicants when it comes to experience! I'm hoping that won't hurt me too badly. Good luck to you guys! We got this!

Hi Kiwi, nice to meet you! Those are really strong stats for gpa and teas (: I think your experience is good, plus you have the experience in the hospital setting so that's a plus

Im sure vet tech is fine because I had two anatomy teachers who were veterinarians!

Have you heard from them about interviews yet?!

In an email i received from them it said they would finish evaluations sometime at the end of the month and should be sending out invites for interviews around that time. I think the interviews are scheduled for the first two weeks of November.

Thank you for the update!

Hi guys...I am applying for 2018 Spring as well. As 2nd Baccalaureate.

Stats: GPA 4.0

TEAS: 91.3

About 90 hours volunteer at Rehabilitation Center

And around 30 hours multi-cultural volunteer hours.

Next week is when we will know who gets called for interviews. The wait is the scary part.
