SFSU BSN Sp19 App

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Has anyone applied to the nursing program for Spring 2019?

I just applied and I'm super nervous about it.

My gpa is a 4.0 and I got an 87% on the TEAS.

It might just be a mistake. I'd call the admissions office and ask them about it.

I applied as well! My stats:

Prereq gpa: 4.0

TEAS: 95.3

Military veteran

1 year as a volunteer at Kaiser Permanente

Currently work at Stanford Hospital as a patient transporter.

Good luck everybody!

Awesome stats, and thanks for your service to our country! Good luck to you too!

Interesting, I just got an email from SFSU saying I got admitted as an environmental science major ...

But I applied as a nursing major and didn't have any alternative majors listed

Did you receive the e-mail yesterday explaining that the University accepted you as an alternate major until the nursing program completes their evaluations and offers admission to the selected students? I received it yesterday and it said I was admitted to the SFSU in the major I had chosen as an alternate when I applied. If you didn't choose an alternate major, maybe they chose one for you? Or maybe your alternate is also impacted so they chose a major that is not impacted. Either way, if we are selected for the nursing program they stated that it will be changed to Nursing Major in December.

Does anyone know if we hear back the week of the 15th or the week of the 22nd?

Does anyone know if we hear back the week of the 15th or the week of the 22nd?

I originally thought we would hear back this week, but judging by last year's thread I have a feeling it won't be until next week.

The email I received said they expect to be done with the initial evaluation process by the third week of October (which is this week). However, I wouldn't freak out if nobody hears anything this week. I know we are all anxious to hear any news, but I also know the admissions team must be wading through hundreds upon hundreds of applications. If their projection was off by a week and they don't contact people until next week, no harm no foul.

Everyone hang in there, we got this!

I will say I am a bit surprised there aren't more people active in the conversation considering how many applicants they have and based upon previous threads.

Did y'all hear back yet?!

I haven't heard anything yet and I'm getting really nervous! Their office closes at 4pm so I'm guessing maybe Monday?

Just got the interview invite at 2:30 PM.

Did you submit your application the first day? Haven't heard anything yet :(
