hi all! I know this is early but I wanted to begin a thread for those applying to the SF State/Sequoia program! The app isn't due until next month but i thought id get one started as I am already anxious! :)

Congrats everyone! I'm good with Facebook Group for cohort. I'm currently wrapping up stuff for my classes tonight but I think I have time in the next few days to create the group. So PM me your emails and I'll see what I can do.

P.S who here is a 2nd bacc student?! just curious! and also what is the deal with this second acceptance we are supposed to receive from the graduate admissions office?! I don't know if I have or have not lol. I have a my SFSU/gateway but idk if that means I'm accepted or not? can anyone shed light for me! thank you

Congrats jdeba! Welcome to the group.

Anyways, as per your question, this was in my acceptance email:

Transfer and second baccalaureate applicants will also receive a formal offer of acceptance from the appropriate SF State Office of Admissions. Follow the directions provided on that notice to accept the university's offer of admission. Please allow at least two weeks to receive the university's letter. If you've already received and accepted formal SF State admission into a different major then we will have it changed to BSN on-campus on your behalf.---It is not necessary to contact the university Office of Admissions or the School of Nursing.

So it would seem like you would receive a separate email from the Graduate Office of Admission. Plus, in the portal, click on Admission Status link on the left and you should see the "accept admission" at the bottom of the screen. Click the Accept/Decline link and then click on the Accept button.

Worse comes to worse, I would try emailing or calling the appropriate division. Just make sure you complete and return the Response form because that is due on Monday. I already got confirmation that they received it.

So when you say portal do you mean the sf state gateway page? because I see application status on the left but when I click on it no accept admission button comes up, and I don't see admission status I see application status.
