SF State BSN Spring 2021

Hey guys, I thought Id start a thread for the SFSU BSN program since I havent found one yet. I should be submitting everything this upcoming week.

Hey guys, has anyone accepted the offer of admission yet? I'm not quite sure how to go about doing that. In the student center it just shows my alternate major.

Also for everyone on the waitlist, I'm rooting for you! You should be hearing by shortly after December 1. They said in my email that, "The deadline to accept the offer on the student portal is December 1, 2020. After Deadline, we will offer the available spots to waitlisted candidates."

I just accepted my admissions offer and it was changed to nursing so I'm not 100% why yours wouldn't say it, but I would accept regardless! Then maybe email SFSU admissions and inquire about how your major is labeled online, it may just be taking a minute to switch over on some browsers or something. It just changed to nursing today ?

Hi everyone! I got accepted too! Congrats to everyone and good luck to those on the waitlist/attending other schools/all others as well!❤️

Hi guys, when you guys applied were you allowed to have a pre-req in progress? For instance, I still have Microbiology to complete this coming Spring (2021) and I’m applying for Fall 2021.

Unfortunately I think that that may disqualify you for this round. When I was applying I talked to an admissions counselor at SFSU and they said that all prereqs must be completed before submitting the application. So since I was applying for Spring start, they said that all prereqs were due by the end of Summer semester. This may have changed though, so I'd recommend getting in contact with a counselor to get an up-to-date overview of the application process

Hi guys can someone help? I emailed the school but they haven't replied yet, I am number 4 on the waitlist but the deadline to accept admissions is coming up should I accept my alternate choice and if I get a spot will they change my major? does anyone know?

Yes, if you get accepted they will change your major. In my acceptance email they said, "If you've already received the university's offer and accepted the offer into a different major, we will have it changed to nursing on your behalf."

And you should only accept the alternate if that is something you want to pursue. Unless they emailed you something about needing to do something to stay on the waitlist, you will remain in the running regardless of if you accepted the alternate choice or not.
