Hi, I am enrolled for fall in the versant program. Does anyone know what is generally worn to the lectures? Is it scrubs or street clothes? THANKS!
Also any other info about the program would be appreciated if you feel like sharing! Have a great day!!!

Hi, I know the first day of orientation we are supposed to wear business casual and they said to bring a sweater b/c it can get cold. I would love to be able to wear scrubs from then on, I will cross my fingers.
hey thanks for the reply, are you sure it's business casual on the first day though? i remember a paper saying that for the interviews but not for the first day. the only reason to dress up i think would be for the photos. i will have to look back at that again. See you there! :)

Hi there! I'm in for the fall residency as well! There was an email sent out that had a link to an area for new associates on the website. That site said business casual for the first day. :) I'm hoping for scrubs after that as well!
hi thanks for the reply. do you have that website? i did not receive the email for some reason. i would really appreciate it. see you soon! haha
i can't, for the life of me, figure out how to reply to your message!! so i'll just say thanks here! i don't know why i didn't know about that site but it has everything i need. thanks!! :)

Which of the residency programs are you folks in? Don't they offer specialty programs for things such as NICU, ER, OR, CCU, etc? Which hospital are you working for?
I've been corresponding with the nursing recruiter for Seton in Austin, though I don't graduate until May 2009. I'm shooting for a NICU or PICU residency, personally.

Hi, I am starting this fall as well and I asked HR about the dress code for the first day and she told me that since we are RN's we can wear scrubs. I also saw that same info in the web page that has the new hire info. My friend that got hire with me will also be wearing scrubs that day. Now I am just trying to figure out the color of the shoes....I remember seeing some black....any help?

I am in the current versant program that's about to finish up, and on the first day you can wear business casual or navy blue scrubs. It really doesn't matter. You pretty much just sit there. As for shoes, you can wear whatever shoes you feel like wearing. It's not strict at all.
