Seton RN residency July 2016

Feel free to post any updates, info, or questions you have regarding the seton RN residency July 2016!!

I submitted my application about a week ago!

I got a job offer for 4th floor at Brackenridge and just had an interview today for the other central Austin location in their intermediate care. I was really hoping for ICU or ED but my Gmail hid the second step of the application process in my spam so by the time I saw it the recruiter said all critical care positions were filled :drowning:

How long after you got the offer from the recruiter did it take for HR to contact you with the "official" offer? I had my interview last wed. and got the call Thursday and I am waiting for HR to give me the official offer. Was it pretty quick for you? I'll be at the same hospital and floor as you.

oops! Just now seeing that you did not stick with the 4th floor and will be at a different hospital. Still curious about how soon I would hear from HR though. We are thinking of buying a house but I would need the offer letter to get the ball rolling. I am super excited about the program!

So how's it going with everyone? Did y'all get your offer letters and find places to live yet? Is anyone else going to be at Seton Medical on 38th with me?

Hello everyone!

I have interviewed, received an offer, and accepted one at Dell Childrens. Im not sure if they are still looking for people or not but I would be surprised if they have gotten every position filled. I have a classmate who just received a job offer there earlier this week.

I did get my offer letter and accepted the position. I'm going down there Sunday to start looking for places and go do my health screening and id badge next Tuesday. I'm really stressing about this NCLEX we graduated May 7th and just waiting for my ATT to get it done and out of the way.

Well, one more week until we have orientation! Has anyone heard from their managers about the first day and scrub colors?

RNs wear navy. Not sure if specific brands are preferred, though. Excited for next week!

Thanks! I'm trying to avoid the holiday crowd this weekend by getting my scrubs before then. I reached out to the contact person and she said we should be getting more info from managers this week. I have 2 kids so just trying to figure out the schedule for next week besides just Tuesday lol.

Nothing from my manager yet. I went and checked out my unit the other day though. Felt a little creepy walking around by myself though haha

I heard back yesterday and found out most of the schedule for the first 2 weeks! Going to get some scrubs this week!

What info did they give you on scrubs? I'm itching to get mine already

I was told any brand is fine, the scrubs just need to be navy blue for the top and bottoms. No t-shirt. And shoes must be closed toe.
