I just scheduled my exam awhile ago and finally taking it this September 15, 2008.
I was looking for the September 2008 Support Group and found their is none in existence so i figured to start one.
I am currently on Saunder's 4th Ed. and some other references like, Exam Cram, Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX-RN Exam, Prioritization, Delegation Assignment by Linda LaCharity and other Q and A books by Saunder's and Mosby.
But i am focusing more on Saunder's, i just like to have other references to understand topics which i am weak in.
I wasn't a very good student before or wasn't that much focus with my studies while in school. That's why i am very anxious now with my upcoming exam.
Now I am giving my best in my review and hoping and praying that i may pass it on the first try.
I really want and dreampt of becoming an RN and finally i am a test closer to becoming one.

I tried to concentrate in studying but i always get discourage when i see a low score in my practice test. I know practice makes perfect. But i guess when ur a mom already, ur time is limited. I'm planning to take the test next month. hopefully this time i wont reschedule it.:typing

Congrats Dee!!! I'm a bit new to this website and haven't had the chance to meet a lot of you, but I wish the best of luck to all who have yet to take it and congrats to those who have passed! I will be taking the exam next week for hopefully the third, and final time. I pray that all my efforts in preparing for it again will not have been in vain....
Thanks to everyone on this website for your prayers and support. This site was really helpful when I found out that I failed the NCLEX the first time around. I got on the site every day for the past few weeks and read lot's of threads and helpful stratergies on how to pass the NCLEX. It really help me this time around. I took the test yesterday and the computer shut off at 75 question I felt like I pass but was still a little worried, because you never know with this test. I found out this morning indeed I pass. To pass the exam I use EXAM CRAM, that book and cd is great I would recomend it to anyone. The CD has a CAT exam similar to the NCLEX, and Prioritiztion I use the Linda A. LaCharity book, I did the whole book. And last but not least my sister whom is an RN sat down with me every afternoon for 2-3hrs a day for the past 3 weeks and broke down all the rationals that I got wrong and review them and gave me scenerios and her own strategies on how to remeber them even the drugs. (thank god ,and thank him giving me such a wonderful family.)
I use the EXAM CRAM CD to do questions in the morning and the afternoons I did Linda Lacharity and sat down with my sister.
