September 2008 support group!

Published

Hi everyone..

I just scheduled my exam awhile ago and finally taking it this September 15, 2008.

I was looking for the September 2008 Support Group and found their is none in existence so i figured to start one. :D

I am currently on Saunder's 4th Ed. and some other references like, Exam Cram, Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX-RN Exam, Prioritization, Delegation Assignment by Linda LaCharity and other Q and A books by Saunder's and Mosby.

But i am focusing more on Saunder's, i just like to have other references to understand topics which i am weak in.

I wasn't a very good student before or wasn't that much focus with my studies while in school. That's why i am very anxious now with my upcoming exam.

Now I am giving my best in my review and hoping and praying that i may pass it on the first try.

I really want and dreampt of becoming an RN and finally i am a test closer to becoming one.

Good Luck to us and God Bless.

Thanks for starting the Sept./08 support group. I'm testing on the 18th for the 3rd time. Using Sauders 4th ed + CD, Kaplan, and www.nclextestanswers.com .

I become bored with using just one study guide. I lose focus. :uhoh3: Does anybody have the same problem? Does anyone know how to make studying funner?:yeah:

yep somtimes i get really bored. what i do when i get bored is read other books or read the thread "anyone.. throw random facts.." something like that.. its on top of the sticky..

i like the book of la charity.. prioritization, delegation and assignment! i think its more challenging than saunders..

i cant think of anything on how to make my studying funner.. :specs:

i guess joining this forum makes everything much easier because i can interact with others like you guys with the same situation like me :wink2:

good luck to us!

I got my ATT earlier this month and scheduled my test for Sept 23rd. I'm studying using the 5 week plan from the NCSBN site www.learningext.com So far, so good though I'm having a hard time with the pharmacological section. So many drugs . I am currently on the medical-surgical section and its broken up into about 8 sub-sections. Its the really BIG section. I do the post tests at the end of each section and miss questions that after I read the rationale I go...huh? Some of the rationales for a question to me doesn't make sense sometimes.

I have until November 5th to take my exam, so if I still don't feel ready by the 23rd of Sept I can move it. I hope I don't have to though.

I swear I feel like I don't know anything.:sniff:

I wish I could get the NCLEX board game, but I have no one to play it with, not locally anyway. That to me would be a fun way to review.

I just took my nclex and I failed. I am so upset at myself. I did the kaplan class and all. I am thinking of doing suzannes plan since I have the saunders book already. Does this plan work?
