So I'm confused. Is the 19 position comment about CHLA or CHOC?

We were trying to figure it out as well, the numbers were exactly the same for CHLA & CHOC supposedly.

ok juliehan. Please keep in touch!

Hi No More School,

Let me know how to send you an e-mail, I can't access my e-mail acct and can't get your e-mail address !!

How's your interview ?

I just got a physical rejection letter...there was 1000 applicants for 19 openings?!!

Hi SunSurfRN,

Forgive me, what does " a physical rejection letter " mean? Physical means they gave it to you directly ??

Thanks so much. :redpinkhe

Hmmm I feel like CHLA would hire more than only 19, especially since they're moving to the new hospital! I guess we'll find out!

I asked them when I got the call for an interview and I was told they will be hiring 45. That's a pretty good number!

I interviewed with HR, and was told that they would be hiring about 50 people. 19 was for CHOC, not CHLA.

Not sure what needs interpretation...its a physical rejection letter meaning it came snail mail.

I appear to have applied to CHOC and don't remember so, indeed its 19 positions there and not CHLA. Funny thing is I stopped keeping track of any one program because they all have such poor odds lol. Landed a subacute job recently with 3 twelves and superb pay...and happy to have it.

Congratulations on the job!!! How exciting!!! :) Isn't it funny how at some point, you forget about some of the places you've applied at? I've seriously gotten rejection e-mails from some hospitals and thought, "Huh...I don't even remember applying there!"

Its no surprise though some of these hospitals take 3-6 months to follow up regarding an application! Some don't follow up at all.

I had my interview today :) We will be hearing in about 3 weeks about job positions! I also heard that CHLA will be hiring about 40-50 new grads, including external and internal candidates. YAY FOR US. Fingers crossed!

Was this your HR interview or did you already interview with managers?
