Sept 2016 RPN Programs

Published

Hello everyone!

This is my first post. I was curious who has applied for September 2016? What schools you applied to? HOAE experience? Also wanted to know if anyone knows expected avg cutoffs for sept? I've applied to Mohawk, Fanshawe, Algonquin, Niagara, and Conestoga. Have the obvious nerves about if my grades and HOAE grades are high enough. It would be nice to know others are freaking out too! :)

Specializes in Psychiatry, Cardiology, Gerontology, Occ. Health.

I just found out yesterday I've been accepted to the St. Lawrence RPN program! I really wanted to do their BScN program, but I'm wait listed there. My admissions adviser says she's really optimistic that I'll get in the BScN program though if I can just be patient. :D

I guess I can relax now that I have received and offer from Niagara College this morning.

I don't even know why I checked as the earliest offer Date was supposed to be March 11th.

Pretty exciting :)

Congratulations!!

I got an acceptance for Niagara too.

It was my last choice but still extremely grateful for it.

Now I can relax knowing I got in somewhere.

It shows your application is competitive, you might yet get your first choice!

Thank you Aussie_Chris!

I was actually so stressed over the past month. To even have one acceptance is such a relief.

A friend of mine applied to all the same schools as I did except she applied to Fleming and I to Fanshawe. She also got a acceptance this morning but she applied for Rpn and they offered her Psw which is odd because our grades were very similar. Anyone have thoughts as to why a school would do that? I told her to call the school to make sure they have the correct course code for her, maybe it was a clerical error?

Yeah that sounds like an error, although it's difficult to imagine how such an error could be made. I've certainly never heard of this before.

Sometimes due to the competitiveness , if a student doesn't make it into the particular program, they will offer an alternative which is close. (Ie she could apply for RPN after PSW program) not unheard of.

UPDATE......

Conestoga RPN acceptances are out!

Received mine this morning YAY!

There you go, offers are flowing for you, congrats. Which college is your first choice?

Congrats! I'm a Conestoga grad (and still attend there for the Mac bridging program), let me know if you have any questions :)

Algonquin was my first choice but Conestoga was second. At this point I'm just grateful to be accepted anywhere with how competitive this program has become. Where are you going Aussie_Chris?
