Congratulations! It has been many years since I applied for a job as I have had mine for many years so I cannot tell you what the current practice is, however, I do have advice if you don't mind...There is no reason why you should wait any substantial amount of time...

Did you mail them? Call immediately to verify they arrived.

Did you take them in person? Call immediately to verify they have been reviewed and to ask for an interview.

Did you already interview? Call immediately to ask if they have a position for you or not.
