Hey! Has anyone had luck changing their UCF Majors? It's been "Pending" for a few weeks now. I know on an earlier post someone mentioned that there was a a system error?

Thanks

Is anyone else considering working while being in the program?

I still don't have mine changed either. I changed it a few days after it was discussed in our forum, but the typo still seemed to be there as well.

My request to change my major is still "in progress" even though there were typos, I still changed it to what I saw there but nothing has been fixed yet.

I also don't plan on working while being in the program, maybe not until after we graduate from SSC. I want to be able to focus primarily on studying because I know how I am when I juggle multiple things while in school.

Also! I don't know if you all like watching youtubers but there is a Youtube channel called "The Nurse Nook" and she's a SSC/UCF concurrent student currently in her last semester of the program. She has some helpful videos on her channel.

Yeah, I am concerned about working while being in school at the same time as well. Thankfully my job is flexible at let me work 1 day/week or even 1 day every other week so i don't think it will be as bad. Still considering whether I should work at all, however.

Also, thank you for that info! The YouTube channel will definitely be a good source.

If your job is that flexible, I would go for it! The youtuber I mentioned worked once a month throughout the first 4 semesters. As long as it doesn't take up too much time and you can handle it, I don't see why you can't try it out

Well every group is different & there's one class the whole cohort takes together, Foundations. The other two classes are taken spilt up in 2 or 4 sections.

My schedule is Foundations on Monday 8-12 .

Tuesday Health Assessment 1 - 5

Thursday Heath Assessment Lab 3-6

Friday Skills 8-3

Saturday Clinical from 6 - 4

But everyone's schedule is different , you'll get your schedule when they give you all permissions to register for class. Be prepared for a full load.

Thank you for replying! I was prepared for a full time job type of week so this pleasantly surprised me. It's nice to see that they try to give one day off (even though in the end it might not be in that case)

Also to everyone else, check your emails! We received the link to access the Hospital Orientation for canvas as well as the orientation registration!

Of course . It's actually very rarely a " day off" . In the beginning of the semester, your Wednesday's are filled with orientations and meetings. And then once you're done with that , your Wednesday's become the day you try to read ahead and study , well that's how i use them lol. You were already prepared for a full load so that's good . you're already ahead of the game .

I LOVE The Nurse Nook. She is so helpful! And I was expecting a full time job like schedule as well, but like you all said I' sure this time is spent studying

Is it just me or....does the new instruction for the major change say to change the major to NURSRN-BSN again and that's still not a choice
