There are parking decals for SSC but you don't necessarily need them to park in my experience. I went there for a whole semester with only a UCF decal and I was just fine!
also do any of you know if we are dressing in business casual for the orientation tomorrow?

Hey guys, I just visited your group because I was feeling nostalgic of when I was accepted summer of 2017. I am currently in my 3rd semester (advanced med surg and maternal/child) and wanted to take a break from studying, so I was looking for your comments. I personally have been going to the Altamonte campus for the past 3 semesters and have not had a decal, nor have I had a problem. The class schedule that was posted was for spring term, so expect classes to be longer days since you will be in the summer program- I remember skills was from 08:00-17:00. For the books you guys will have to purchase the ATI bundle (it's like $800)- this bundle is required for the program and must be bought from the bookstore, I would highly recommend the health assessment book- also recommend to do the reading for this class, FON don't really have to read in unless the material is not clear to you from lecture, health assessment lab book is required, Davis drug guide is needed in skills class and clinical days, the lab bag is also required for any skills that are learned throughout the program, and the bundle for ssc is give or take. I know some that have used the books from the bundle and others who have not, I personally have only used the med surg book for my clinical prep forms (CPFs), but the teachers will sometimes reference to it for certain pages or medications (in later semesters). I would highly recommend the website nurseslabs for any nursing problems that you do in skills, it is much better than the pocket guide they teach you to learn from and recommend purchasing. That is all of I can think of from the top of my head, but if you have any questions try to ask and I will hopefully be able check in again. Also would highly recommend setting up a Facebook group page, it helps if anyone has questions to ask other students, be careful though cause I have heard rumors of professors checking up in the group pages. Good luck, first semester is really hard, so be prepared to study and have no life! Also check out the "UCF/SSC Nursing program supply swap" on Facebook for any supplies wanted to buy second hand.
Thank you for all your advice and info! This really helps :)

Hi everyone!
I just got accepted to the program and I'll be starting in Spring. I'm currently working on my complio but i'm a bit confused about the drug screen portion. I haven't really see any instructions for that part either. Should I just schedule an appointment at the location I chose and bring the authorization form and they'll know what to do? Am I supposed to get the results on paper to scan and upload to complio? I feel a bit lost on this one...

Hi! Congrats on getting in! But yes, just schedule the appointment and bring the form and whatever else is needed (ID, etc). You don’t need to upload those results I believe
