What are you looking for? There is a big difference between seminars and post grad courses.

Conferences that award CEU's are typically called "seminars" in the Philippines. Post-grad courses are specific to the Philippines. These are additional courses that are offered to already licensed nurses to supplement material not covered in the basic BSN degree (examples are training in IV Therapy, Critical Care, etc.).

I don't see why you can't attend conferences in the US especially if you have a US license because you need the units for license renewal. However, these can be very costly if you factor in the cost of airfare, accommodations, food, and the fee for the conference itself. I am not undermining your financial resources but I would consider this as frivolous spending especially since you are not practicing in the US yet. In addition, Ontario is a small-ish city in Southern California and I doubt that it is a frequent venue for nursing conferences.

thanks for the answer Mr. Juan dela Cruz.. Well right now i just want to expand my knowledge in my chosen profession and I think learning outside the Philippines can make me a more competetive nurse, and also i want to visit my grand mother in Ontario. Btw what visa can i apply i have plans on taking post graduate course or simply a certification program there in California?

If you are planning on studying in the US you need a student visa
