I used this site religiously when I was preparing for my CRNA school application process. Today I found myself distracted and not wanting to study.....so here I am posting on this forum in case anyone has questions about Texas Wesleyan CRNA program. Ask away but I can guess what a few questions will be right off the bat, so here is a little background info.

I am 27, Male, Married w/ 2 kids (5 & 1.5), worked in a very diverse level 2 trauma SICU in Texas, had 1 year of experience to the day when I interviewed at TWU and was accepted upon interview. CCRN finished after 8 months of RN ICU work (met the hours quickly w/ overtime). GRE score 1100 on the old test scoring method. Over all GPA 3.6-7ish. RN school GPA 4.0. Science GPA 2.8!!! yah and I was grilled in the interview over that one lol....I will expand on it if anyone cares to know. Grades so far at TWU's program is a 4.0....we will see after my pharm final on Thursday!

I am very busy with school but I will try to answer questions/check back as often as I can...

I got accepted into Texas Wesleyan for 2018. I've been reading reviews on this board and to join today to see if there's any one else out there who's been accepted? Any current students have any advice for me on how they like the program?

Hello! I too am applying for the start date of August 2018 at Wesleyan, how were you already accepted? thanks for the info!

I'm sorry. This was meant for a different thread.

I'm applying to crna school and wanted to know what the science exam consisted of? What was the interview like?

Congrats on your acceptance. when did you get your interview. I applied in May and haven't heard anything yet?

How do you feel about the various Dallas & Ft. Worth clinical sites in Texas? I've been considering them. What would be your top 3 picks?

Thanks for doing this!

1)Quick question about Masters Degrees vs. DNP. I had heard that CRNA's with Master's Degrees will be grandfathered in do you think this is accurate to assume. What are the benefits of doing a DNP over a Masters besides obvious cost/time?

2) I spent 2 years in ICU/TCU we opened up the Transitional Care Unit in my hospital and trained with ICU nurses. Then I went to PACU and Infusion. Do you think they will care how long ago the experience was? I have seen a few programs with requirements being within the last 2 years etc.?

Good luck to you!
