I AM 2YR LPN FROM A SUBACUTE CENTER IN CHICAGO LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT IN TEXAS . KIND OF SCARED TO RELOCATE BUT I NEED CHANGE ANY SUGGESTIONS.

in our forums, you will find all the nursing news, support and direction that you will need as a new or seasoned nurse in the field. we have about 150 forums in total.

let this decision tree help you get started:

if you are a pre-nursing student--->we have a pre-nursing student forum.

if you are a current nursing student--->we have three forums for you.

1) general nursing student discussion forum for support by your peers

2) nursing student assistance forum to help with school projects

3) male nursing student forum for the guys

if you are schooling online--> we have our distance learning forum

if you are preparing for the nclex-->we have our nclex discussion forum

if you are a current lpn--->we have the lpn/lvn corner forum and others of interest.

if you are a lpn to rn student---> we have a lpn to rn forum.

if you are a current rn--->we have many forums for you.

if you are a male nurse (rn/lpn)--> we have a male nursing forum

if you are in nursing grad school--->we have a graduate student nurse forum

if you are an advanced practice nurse--->we have your specialty forum.

if you are a nurse in career transition--->we have a nursing career advice forum.

have a topic to discuss or question to ask? go to the list of forums, pick the forum that best matches, and post in there (pg 13 language always). you will get feedback. so, check back often.

to make a post in a forum, just go to that forum and post like you did here if someone has already created it...your post is a reply response.

to create your own new thread (the first post to start off feedback), you do this:

in any forum, go to the top yellow bar and towards the right, you will see something that reads--> forum tools. it is a pull down menu. click it. in that menu, you will see--> post a new thread. click that.

and there you go.....just follows what it tells you.

if your nursing related question does not fit any particular forum and is a general nursing related topic, post it in our general nursing discussion forum.

University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth hires LPN's for the clinic and has openings. Pay sucks, but the benefits and hours are good.

"Commuter" just got a job recently in a hospital in a town close to Fort Worth and the pay seemend to be very good. Maybe you can PM her for some advice?

Specializes in Med-Surg, Ortho, & Tele all on one ward!.

I had clinicals at 3 different hospitals in Fort Worth, 2 hospitals in Arlington (next to Ft Worth), and 1 hospital in Irving (closer to Dallas, but not too far from parts of Ft Worth). Not sure which hospitals hire LPNs, but I can tell you about my experiences with the different working environments at the various hospitals. What specifically are you looking for? Pedi, Med/Surg, etc? 70+ of my classmates are now working at these same hospitals in Fort Worth and Dallas now, and I can put you in touch with someone in a particular area if you would like.
