You are ALWAYS going to hear that the "next" semester is really bad-LOL!!!!
Each semester they expect more of you so yes, things get harder (especially in clinical). The hard thing for me second semester was having 3 classes and 2 clinicals--balancing my time was very difficult. I learned SO much though and made it through--now I'm told THIS semester will be the hardest. I am trying not to listen to the hype and stay calm.
GL!
Keep on studying. Seek out advice (not gossip) from the third semester students who have already gone through the second semester. You have to realize that each step in the process of learning nursing is going to get a little more complicated and involved. It's not different from the way you learned basic math or English when you were in grade school. Some new subjects will be introduced to you, but you will still be expected to apply the nursing process as well as other fundamental principles such as asepsis and sterile fields.

We start Monday, and I've heard it is really bad (the second semester in general). I've heard that most programs are set up in a similar manner, so can anyone give me any advice or tips on what to expect for the second semester? (I'm in a 2 year program)
