Second Entry Nursing Fall 2022

Hey! I haven't seen a post for second entry applicants for Fall 2022. What has everyone applied for? I applied to:

1) UofT

2) Western

3) Nippising SPP

4) Trent

5) Brock - 4 year

Hi guys, I had a quick question about the transcripts! I requested the option for my transcript to be submitted by the end of the fall term 2021, however, I'm enrolled in physiology for Winter term 2022, do you guys know if that will be shown in the transcript? I'm worried because that's a prereq for all the nursing programs.

Hey, usually when I access transcripts from my school it shows the classes I'm enrolled in/haven't completed yet as in progress (IPR) if the academic year isn't over yet. It shouldn't be a problem imo.

Like futurebloombaby said above the transcript should say classes in progress as well.

I am not sure what programs you are applying to but I know McMaster, u of t and Nipissing make you fill out a prerequisite form so you would just have to say the course is in progress! ?

Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I email the pre-req form for Mcmaster on Nov 8th, 2021 yet on the application portal it still says "awaiting". It says that it may take up to six weeks for this to be updated, but it's been over the six week period. I have sent admissions two emails about this and they haven't responded. I'm just worried it won't be updated come Feb 1st. Anyone in the same boat or know if there's someone I can call?

Hello!

Did any of you apply from the University of Victoria (uvic) to the ualberta After Degree program? How did you guys fulfill the medical Microbiology requirement? Did they accept any of uvics courses or did you have to take the Open Studies?

I just want to make sure I have a chance before I apply!

Hey, I'm in the same boat - completed and sent the prereq form in November too. Just logged onto Mosaic and it said the item status will update 3-4 weeks after the supplementary application submission deadline (Feb 1st).

Hello, I am in my 4th year of undergrad that only has 2 fall courses graded in my final year, since I'm doing a thesis and my 2nd term will have the rest of my grades. I had few questions. 

1. Since YorkU only looks at GPA does anyone know if it's cGPA or most recent.. and if so what is competitive since they do not look at Casper or ECs ?

2. What GPA is competitive for mac and uft ?

3. what makes a good applicant for uoft ECs wise ?

I have a 3.91 GPA over 4 years but in my fourth, since I only have 2 courses from the fall term my GPA is 3.8 for the fall 2021 term. 

Insight is appreciated

I am submitting my supp app for UofT and they state to submit an electronic transcript. But why, since transcripts were already ordered through Ouac and UofT stated in my app that it has been received, what should I do ?

 

"* Electronic Transcripts:
Please upload a copy of transcript for each of the universities you have attended. NOTE: the electronic transcripts submitted in this application cannot replace the submission of official transcripts. Please ensure to follow the procedures on how to submit official transcripts."

I just downloaded a free unofficial copy of my transcript from my school and uploaded it to that section.

Thank you so much, do you know if there's a word limit outside 400 for the first question of the supp app ?

No worries! I don’t believe there’s a word limit for the other two prompts.

Hi guys!

I have a question regarding transcripts. All the schools I have applied to have already received my transcript, however, my school uploads official grades really late January or sometimes early February. Does this mean my Fall 2021 grades are not received? Do I have to resubmit transcripts or?
