Second degree BSN at NYU--accelerated or regular?

Nursing Students General Students

I am a college graduate with a BS degree in speech pathology. I have a 2.98 gpa--not the greatest, i know. Now I am taking my prerequisites and have A's in anatomy and physiology 1 and 2, A- in Chemistry, B in Organic biochemistry, an A- in microbiology, an A in developmental psych, and an A- in nutrition. I am extremely interested in NYU's bsn program which I know is very competitive, but I still have to try. I have written a killer essay that even impressed myself. Originally i was focused on applying for only the accelerated program because i want to finish my schooling and start working as a nurse soon as possible. However, the most important thing to me is that i actually GET IN to the program. So I was wondering if anyone would have any insight to offer. Which program would I have a better shot at getting in to--the regular BS program or the accelerated?

Any advice is welcome and very much appreciated :)
