hi,

i wanted to see when people applied to the program and if they have heard anything at all.

i applied oct. 2nd and no info yet!

thanks and good luck!

Finally received my acceptance letter from the University of Michigan Accelerated nursing program today. I applied in August and the letter was post marked January 22.

I wish you all good luck and hope you all hear good news soon.

Specializes in Trauma/Burn ICU, Neuro ICU.

Wow, Cassie!!! WooHoo! Congratulations!! Please email me if you need any info. I am currently in the program, and LOVING it.

Regards, Susan

I also applied in August, application was considered complete November 3rd (their fault, not mine!) and I received my acceptance letter almost 2 weeks ago!!!!!!!!! I just broke down and cried...I waited SO long to hear something. I just registered for AllNurses as I hadn't even heard of it until a week ago, and it says I can't send private messages yet :-( If anyone else gets in I would love to talk to you and I would love to hear from people already in the program. I am so full of questions!!!!!!!

Hi everyone :-)

I posted on another thread, but it didnt seem too active. Congrats to those of you who got in already!! I just sent my application not too long ago, so I dont expect to hear anything anytime soon.

Who else has applied? Maybe not that many ppl know about allnurses who applied to UMich's 2nd career? Or maybe everyone already got in...hm...

Haha, oh dear. I just read this thread, and it seems like everyone really did apply and got in...waay back in August!

Does this mean that everyone has completed all the pre-reqs? (Including family concepts, and pathophysio?) I dont know of any colleges here that even offer those classes...

Hey JustJane,

Good luck with your application. I am currently taking Pathophysiology online @ washtenaw community college (wccnet.edu) and it will transfer to michigan. The exams/quizes are all done via home computer so you could be anywhere. If you have any question please feel free to ask.

good luck!

Thanks nv2998, I'll need all the luck I can get! Hopefully, I'm not too late, and theres still room for me, heh.

I heard of some other school that offers that class online as well (San Diego State?)---I might just need to do that...

What about that Family Concepts class? I really dont know about that one.

Michigan state has a Sociology class that transfers for family concepts they offer on-line in the summer. Also they have patho online, but I am not sure if they offer it in the summer or not.

The ABSN program starts in the summer--so I would need to take these online classes in addition to the classes for the ABSN program?
