I've been a reader of these message boards for some time and thought I'd finally start participating. I didn't see a thread for the SU APNI 2011 application process, so I thought that as the deadline is this week I would start a thread and see how everyone's process went. I'm interested in the primary care np track myself.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to update you that we received an e-mail from admissions that our deposit has to be in by April 4th (or 5th?) to hold our place for the program. I'm assuming there will be some movement on the waitlist as deposits are, or are not, received. Just fyi :) Hope everyone will be getting good news soon.

And just to throw some more info out there: the Facebook group for the APNI '11 cohort has around 25 members who have accepted or are planning to accept. This is by no means a reliable way to gauge the waitlist. It could mean anything -- that there are another 25 people out there who are going to accept but don't know about the group, didn't want to join, or don't use Facebook; or it could mean that there are a good number of spots that may open up; or somewhere between those extremes (which makes the most sense to me).

However, we did announce the group to the accepted students listserv so those who were accepted at least got an invitation to join the group. The only thing that it reliably can tell us is that at least we don't know for certain that all 50 or so spots are definitely confirmed. I think it's likely that a couple of weeks into April some truly exciting and well qualified people will be offered spots.

Agh!!! I was not expecting to hear anything about waitlist movement until next month, but I just got an email that I was accepted off the waitlist for the CNM track!
