Seattle University -- APNI 2011

Published

I've been a reader of these message boards for some time and thought I'd finally start participating. I didn't see a thread for the SU APNI 2011 application process, so I thought that as the deadline is this week I would start a thread and see how everyone's process went. I'm interested in the primary care np track myself.

those little blue words are still staring back at me...no matter how hard I will them to change, they still stay the same.

It finally got above freezing in the northeast today, so I'm going to quit worrying, go outside, and suck up some of that gorgeous forty degree sun! :)

The anticipation is a lot to take, I know! Since tomorrow is the last day they are interviewing people I think they'll want to meet up and make some decisions at the end of this week or next week. I'd guess that we will see some people getting word about admission stuff starting next week at the earliest, but probably the week after for sure. Like how interview requests came in at different times, I'll bet admissions stuff comes to people at different times too. So I wouldn't be worried if other people's arrive sooner, what with mailing times etc. I think waitlist movement will be later, at least a couple of weeks after because they'll need to see how many people accept spots.

Keep up the good spirits, everyone! I'm trying to, at least! Hahah

I agree, Id say the soonest we'll find out is in a couple of weeks. Last year I wasn't waitlisted til much later. I didn't recieve a letter til April and my status on the SU website also didn't change til april. It was terrible cuase I kept thinking my acceptance letter would be coming and then a stupid waitlist! and last year they told me they only took a few off of it, unlike the year, that I too was told, a ton were taken off the waitlist. At least tomorrow is supposively the last day for interviews, I sure hope so, becuase then the reviewing and accpeting can begin!!!!

Hi everyone,

I interviewed in early February for the CNM track, and I felt like it went well. Does anyone know how we'll receive notification of acceptance/waitlist/ or rejection? I received an email for the interview, so I was wondering if we'll receive an email for an initial notification. I received an email acceptance from PLU's ELMN, then received an actual package later in the week last week. Any ideas?

I believe it has been by mail in the past

I was told in my interview for the CNM track a few days ago that notifications would be going out late March via email. I was told that the email would be followed by the formal letter via snail mail. The good news is that it won't be too much longer! Best of luck everyone :)

I do hope you mean late Feb...I don't think I can handle another month wait!

Opps! Sorry about that - yes, I do mean late February, not late March!

Phew! Glad we clarified that because I might have had a MI if I had to wait another month!

Hahahaha...we might as well review our A&P while we wait, right? Well, according to poiselle's law, when I have an aneurism while I am waiting, it's going to be in a large vessel ;)

IT CHANGED IT CHANGED THE LETTERS CHANGED.

It says, "Your decision will be mailed as soon as possible"

oh dear. My heart is racing now. anyone else's change?

Mine hasn't changed, Im thinking that doesnt meen anything. with each letter i bet the decision is made and entered in the computer which probably takes a couple days. But you just saying that makes me sooo nervous, like to sick to my stomach nervous. Well the sooner the better!!!!
