Seattle University APNI Program 2018

Published

I'm interested in applying to the APNI program at SU. I've been reading a lot of the forums from other years, and have found it's quite competitive! I would love to hear from other people, and their track. Or if someone is in the program and has any advice about what they like in an applicant. Thank you!

I was just accepted!!!! No interview, but just got my acceptance letter for Adult Gero Acute APNI!

Congrats! That is so exciting. I am so happy for you.

That's awesome. Congrats. How is this possible though? I'm curious. Perhaps they lived your app and didn't need to speak with you. Wow. I had to withdraw my app bc I couldn't make the in person interview due to finances. Amazing. Congrats!

It's a new thing they are testing! I spoke with Graduate Admissions and they are testing it out with AGNP. They want to see if accepting without interviewing can produce a strong student. It's only being done for a few in AGNP.

Very much trial based!

That is upsetting to hear. I wish they had an option given circumstances, as flying last minute can be expensive. Did they say there was no other option? I am thinking some specialties might request or require interviews, particularly dependent on the number of applicants within the specialty.

All require interviews. Only a select test few are being admitted without interview for AGNP.

I personally don't want to be admitted without an interview.

I think they invested a lot of time and effort in submitting their application and equally could have done well with their interview. I wouldn't downplay their effort. Congrats to the people accepted into the AGNP. It's our turn, which us luck!

A couple of the programs I have applied to don't require interviews and I agree - likely would have done equally well (including equally as bad potentially!) with one.

Has anyone received a interview invite for this coming Saturday 2/17/18?

Or any other weekend after in this month?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew when we should be hearing back about whether or not we got in or not? The original e-mail stated we could find out around mid February (which is around now). Are there still interviews going on?

My interview isn't until March 2nd - but that's the PMHNP specialty.

Hello! Thank you for responding

Were you invited a couple weeks ago and just had to schedule at a different time or were you just recently invited?
